I’ve recently been sharing this Rule with nursing staff.  Home Care nursing staff find this particularly powerful, as it – along with well developed situational awareness and having an ever-ready exit strategy – is one of their main tools of increasing their safety when doing their risky jobs in the homes of those they serve.

We encourage everyone to start thinking in terms of merging the 10/5/2 Rule with their Cooper Color Code, and their daily yellow awareness.
