Serve everyone and don’t be concerned about what is your label

Serve - Red Rock Church

Hi All,

See this article.

Why must we keep going round and round with whether we wish to call ourselves Warriors, Guardians, Ambassadors, etc.?

Why? Because we love to have our egos stroked, and made shiny for all of our look-at-me behavior.

We are (ought to be) Servants of the public, of the community, of humanity.

As Servants, we ought to be physically, emotionally, and otherwise prepared for any eventuality in our work.

We ought to strive to gladden the hearts of those with whom we come into contact.

We ought to feed the hungry (literally and/or figuratively).

We ought to help the afflicted.

We ought to lighten the sorrow of the sorrowful.

We ought to remove the sufferings of the injured.

The Protector Ethic is all of this and more.

Just serve and tie the ego to a stake. Otherwise, it will steal the best versions of who we can be and how we can be of benefit to others.

Farewell.
