Read with Purpose

The world may belong to those who read.

But what is read is more important.

Does the reading contribute to mobilizing us to gladden the heart of human beings?

Does it contribute to mobilizing us to feed the hungry (“feeding” can take many forms)?

Does it contribute to mobilizing us to help the afflicted?

Does it mobilize us to intervene to help those in trouble?

Does it mobilize us to do what we can to protect the innocent, the under-served, the un-served?

Does it contribute to mobilizing us to lighten the sorrow of the sorrowful?

Does it contribute to mobilizing us to remove the sufferings of the injured?

Does it contribute to mobilizing us to repair our families, organizations, nations, the world?

I can read to serve others, to uplift others, to leave the world better than I found it.

Or I can read crap.

GIGO

Memento mori.

Until later…
